We saw some shows and wandered around, there were a bunch new vendors. There was even a new structure built in our old booth spot. We talked with old friends we hadn't seen since last summer and I even brought home a huge bag of fleece from a friend that keeps sheep as pets. In exchange I gave them a rug I had made from their sheep fleece. They have two more bags for me and I plan to make a really large no-kill felted rug from them for my home. The great thing about these rugs is that they look just like sheepskin rugs but they don't hurt the animal.
Grumpy Husband and I went to the Opening Weekend of the KY Renaissance Fair this past Sunday. It was SO MUCH FUN! Two years ago we were vendors at this fair and made a lot of friends, so going now as patrons is extra fun. We feel like part of the family! I dressed up as a purple witch and bought a crown of flowers to put on my hat. I wore the hat for 5+ hours and even I was surprised by how comfortable it was! It was in the 80's and I didn't overheat or anything! I really like the costume I built and you will be sure to see it come up again in a photo-shoot for my Etsy shop. The first photo in this set is me on a bench in the Fairy Forest. The next one is me sitting in front of our old booth.
We will be back next weekend for sure! I wonder what costume I will be wearing next time...?
