This May spend five days on-location in beautiful Eureka Springs Arkansas in a workshop that will introduce you to the art of 3-D felting. For the fourth year in a row Eureka Springs School of the Arts will host up to 10 students for five creative days of felting fun! The main focus of the class this year will be on exploring how dimensional felting involves using resists to create seamless hollow forms, in any shape you desire. With this technique the class will make vessels, slippers, as well as one of our favorites – hats! The class will also combine nuno felting with resist felting to create some interesting surface designs on scarves and rugs. This class will give you the basic felting techniques at the core of every 3-d project with a few extras thrown in for good measure. So if you are interested in deepening your knowledge of felting, learning new techniques to add to your creative practice, or those just want to have some fun exploring new ideas stop on by!
